This is the final version of PQView that will support Microsoft Access 2000, 2002, and 2003. You can now use the options window in PQView Launcher to specify alternative locations for PQView’s temporary files, the application data, and personal documents. PQView Agent now allows you to specify whether multiple dial-up RAS connections are allowed.

PQView 3 is now delivered in two editions: PQView Enterprise, which has no hard-coded limits, and PQView Professional, which supports only 50 sites in each PQView database. PQView Enterprise allows measurements in either Microsoft SQL Server or Microsoft Access databases, but PQView Professional allows measurements in Microsoft Access only.

We improved the data handlers for importing the following data store formats: CYMDIST Databases, Dranetz InfoNode Servers, Dranetz DDB Files, Electro Industries Log Databases, NYISO System Load Data, NOAA Daily Geomagnetic Data, PJM System Load Data, Qualitrol QIS Databases, SATEC PAS Databases, Schneider Electric ION Enterprise Databases, SST I-Grid Web Site, and the SCADA Database for APC.

We added new derived charts for displaying form factor and crest factor from waveform samples. We also added check boxes for enabling the computation and display of point-by-point and cycle-by-cycle calculations for symmetrical components. We improved integration of the PQ Event Roll and the Fault Viewer. The zoom window can now be toggled on or off by pressing <Ctrl><Z> when viewing an interactive PQView chart.

We also updated the Fault Location Add-in Module to provide residual overcurrent and “subsequent event” detection and notification.

WebPQView 1.6.1 Released

WebPQView 1.6.1 has been posted for download. This release includes nearly 150 changes to PQView and includes better support for Microsoft SQL Server 2012, new application icons, and updates to the PQView Database Library used by third-party software engineers. Starting with this release, you can configure a session of PQView Agent to send e-mail notifications to alert you when PQView databases are not being updated by other sessions of PQView Agent. We improved the data handlers for importing from IEEE Std 1159.3 PQDIF files and IEEE Std 37.111 COMTRADE files. We added new options to the data handlers for downloading and importing measurements from Dranetz InfoNode servers and the SoftSwitching Technologies I-Grid web server.

Two new data handlers were added. PQView now can download and import system load data from the following Independent Service Operators in the U.S. and Canada: ERCOT, ISO-NE, NYISO, IESO, and PJM. The other new data handler can download and import daily geomagnetic data from the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

The functionality associated with the Compliance Setup Window in PQDM, which was begun in 2007, is finally completed. The window allows you to create a configuration file useable by PQDM to create XML and HTML compliance summary tables in an export folder or for e-mail after data source import for rms voltage, line frequency, negative-sequence unbalance, voltage fluctuations (Pst and Plt), voltage THD, and individual voltage harmonics.
